You Drink. You Drive. You Lose.
Lawrence, Kansas Police Department
August 17, 2012
The Lawrence Police Department will again partner with the Kansas Traffic Safety Resource Office in an increased effort to combat impaired driving. Officers will be participating in the “You Drink. You Drive. You Lose.” campaign through Labor Day, September 3, 2012.
During this period officers will be specifically assigned to detect impaired drivers though the enforcement of traffic regulations including violations such as speeding, traffic signal violations and seatbelt use. Officers throughout Kansas will participate in this program, which is part of a grant funded operation underwritten by the Kansas Department of Transportation. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for the traveling public by reducing the number of motor vehicle fatalities, injuries and crashes.
The Lawrence Police Department reminds motorists to buckle up, designate a driver and do your part to help keep everyone safe on Lawrence roadways.
