UPDATE: Wednesday Evening Incidents Involving Firearms

 

On Wednesday, June 7th, 2017, from 5:37 p.m. to approximately 5:42 p.m., three incidents were reported to the Lawrence Police Department involving victims being threatened with firearms. After a brief vehicle pursuit, followed by a brief foot pursuit, three suspects were taken into custody near the 1500 block of Hanscom Road. The suspects have been booked in to Douglas County Jail for one count of Aggravated Robbery, however, more charges are expected as the investigation continues. The three individuals taken into custody are:

El Moses Blackwell 05/24/1990

Joshua Lee Gardner 12/28/1989

Chrystal Marie White 2/22/1973

 

During the investigation a witness reported seeing these three individuals involved in an incident with the occupants of a white SUV, possibly a Jeep, with a firearm being displayed, at approximately 5:40 p.m.in the 1500 block of Haskell Avenue. The suspect vehicle is pictured below. The victims from this incident have not contacted police, and have not been identified. The Lawrence Police Department is asking for the occupant or occupants of the white SUV to please contact the Lawrence Police Department at (785)830-7430 or Crime Stoppers of Lawrence and Douglas County at (785)843-TIPS(8477). Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is also asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
