Two Armed Robberies Reported Overnight

 

Lawrence Police are investigating what are believed to be two unrelated armed robberies that occurred last night.   It is unknown at this time if either of the two robberies are related to the robbery reported yesterday at Subway.

 

The first armed robbery was reported on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at approximately 9:53 p.m., and allegedly occurred in the area of West 6th Street and Florida Street.  A 44 year old male victim reported an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from him during an armed robbery which resulted in a victim sustaining injuries from the incident.  The victim was treated and released from an area hospital.  This investigation is ongoing and there is no further information to provide at this time.

 

The second armed robbery was reported last night at approximately 11:08 p.m., at Wingstop, 2233 Louisiana Street.  It was reported that a black male wearing a grey colored hoodie and dark pants entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded money.  The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash.   No injuries were reported during the incident.
