Lawrence Police Investigating Homicide at Southwest Lawrence Home

Lawrence Police Officers responded to a residence in the 2900 block of West 26th Street late Friday evening in an attempt to contact an individual reported missing by family members. As officers checked the home they discovered the body of an adult male inside the residence. The victim appeared to have suffered traumatic injuries and investigators are currently working the scene as a homicide. Positive identification of the deceased has not occurred and further information about his identity is not being released at this time.

Officers are seeking Sarah Brooke Gonzales McLinn, age 19, who also resides at the home and has not been seen in several days. She may be travelling in a dark gray or blue 2008 Nissan Altima four door with Kansas “In God We Trust” license number AK149. A recent photo of Sarah Brooke Gonzales McLinn is seen below (and attached to this release).
