FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On December 1, 2011, at approximately 7:46 a.m., Lawrence Police were made aware of a written bomb threat at Free State High School, 4700 Overland Drive. All students and faculty were safely evacuated from the building as a precautionary measure and sent home at the direction of the Lawrence School District. The Lawrence Police Department is working with Lawrence School District officials and conducting a full investigation of this incident. The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
