Bank Robbery Suspect

At 4:43pm on February 13, 2013, officers from the Lawrence Police Department responded to the report of a bank robbery at Lawrence Bank, 100 E. 9th Street.  A lone white male suspect entered the bank and demanded cash from the tellers while displaying a handgun.  The employees complied with the demands and the suspect left the bank on foot in an unknown direction.  He was described as a white male in his thirties, approximately 5’7” tall with an average build.  Photos of the suspect are attached to this email and may be distributed.  Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Lawrence Police at 785-832-7509 or the CrimeStoppers Hotline at 785-843-TIPS(8477).  Calls to CrimeStoppers be anonymous and callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.  The Lawrence Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation are conducting a joint investigation of the incident.
