Police Camp

The Lawrence Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2016 Police Camp. This year's camp is June 16-18, 2016 at Free State High School. The schedule is 8:00am-4:00pm June 16th-17th and 8:00am-1:00pm on June 18th. The camp is for kids 8-12 years of age. Registration deadline is Friday, May 27th.

The registration fee is $30 per child. Checks should be made payable to the City of Lawrence. Applications and registration fees should be mailed or dropped off at the Investigations and Training Center, 4820 Bob Billings Pkwy. Camp capacity is limited to 60 kids, so send your application in now! The application deadline is Friday, May 27th.

2016 Police Camp Itenerary

For the past 18 years the Lawrence Police Department has hosted the Lawrence Police Department's Police Camp. This Police Camp is a program established to promote positive interaction between the Officer’s of the Lawrence Police Department and the children of Lawrence. The program is put on by the Lawrence Police Department's School Resource Officers.

The curriculum includes a wide range of activities that incorporate teamwork, physical fitness, general police information and good citizenship. There are typically 60 children in Police Camp. For information on Police Camp please contact the Community Services Division at 830-7410.
