Citizens' Advisory Board Information
The City of Lawrence has established the Citizens' Advisory Board to assist the Lawrence Police Department with the subject of racial profiling. The Citizens' Advisory Boards duties include reviewing Police Department policies pertaining to racial profiling, reviewing annual training, assisting with community outreach opportunities and relaying any community concerns related to racial profiling. The Citizens' Advisory Board also receives the Lawrence Police Department's annual report on racial profiling for review before submission to the Kansas Attorney General.
The Citizens' Advisory Board is a seven member organization which meets quarterly.
